nome Okodiya, Esq. was called to the Nigerian Bar in 1991, and he joined the law firm of T.J. Onomigbo Okpoko & Co. in 1993 as a Solicitor, and in 1997 was elevated to the position of a Partner in the firm. He resigned from the firm in 2007, when he left the firm to set up Okodiya & Okodiya LP. He is widely travelled and has attended several international conferences and seminars.
He has vast experience in Corporate Litigation and handled several High Profile Cases for numerous Clients in the Oil and Gas industry, Telecommunications, Banks, Shipping, etc. He has also successfully negotiated International Contracts in the Republic of Congo (Oil & Gas), Republic of Guinea (Gold, Bauxite and Coltan), Mozambique (Gas) etc. In addition to providing professional support for his Clients, in respect of International Arbitration and Litigations in the United Kingdom, South Africa, Namibia and several other countries.
He is also engaged in the activities of the Nigerian Bar Association, and a member of the Rivers State enlarged Executive Committee (EXCO) between 2000 and 2002, and served as a member of the Disciplinary Committee of the Port Harcourt Branch of the Nigeria Bar Association.
